Senior System Admin
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other Office 365 applications.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 E5 license features, focusing on identity management, security, and compliance.
- Implement and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) for identity, access management, and integrated enterprise applications.
- Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity department to:
- Configure and manage MS365 security features, including Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Conditional Access policies.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of systems by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
- Administer the Service Desk system for IT service management.
- Manage and deploy patches using Patch Manager tools to ensure all systems and security patches are up-to-date and secure.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor backup procedures for all host operating systems and host-based applications.
- Perform regular backup and recovery tests to ensure data can be restored as needed.
- Analyze system logs and events, seeking appropriate solutions where needed.
- Develop custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of various operating systems and services.
- Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
- Manage the communication rooms, including network hardware, firewalls, software, and equipment such as air-conditioning systems and UPS.
- Monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting network problems and escalating problems to vendor.
- The manager is authorized to assign the employee to any task within the department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
- At least 4-6 years of experience in a similar role within a medium to large enterprise environment
- Relevant certifications such as:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Hands-on experience with other Microsoft cloud services, such as Microsoft Information Protection and Microsoft Defender
- Familiarity with other backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Experience with cloud environments
- Extensive knowledge of LAN, WAN, and network equipment
