Financial Control Manager
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including management, board of directors, investors, and regulatory agencies.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting processes, including segregation of duties, authorization controls, and periodic reviews.
• Conduct risk assessments and internal control evaluations to identify control deficiencies, assess their impact, and develop remediation plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory examiners, coordinating audit activities, providing requested documentation, and addressing audit findings and recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, financial disclosures, and other audit-related deliverables.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, business planning, and performance management.
• Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modelling to identify risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
• The manager is authorized to assign the employee to any task within the department
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7-9 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial control, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal control frameworks.
• Experience in coordinating audits and regulatory examinations, with a strong understanding of audit procedures and requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
